Welcome to the official website of Chris Robertson and The Country Music Band! My name is Chris, DUH!, and I am from Clarksville, Tennessee and the proud owner of three Fender Telecasters! Chris Robertson and The Country Music Band have been together in various incarnations for about 6 years. The band constists of Robertson, Chris Hall, Matt Lyerla, Syd Hedrick, and Ronnie Harbert. You're always going to get at least four of them. All are from Clarksville, TN except for Matt who (this month at least)lives in Rineyville, Ky. Although there have been several lineup changes over the years, it was in February of 2003 that it all started coming together. This was around the first time that Robertson, Hall, and Hedrick first hooked up with Ronnie and Matt. Instant chemistry. (and stupidity)The Country Music Band (clever name huh) is a classic honky-tonk ensemble. And while they do perform a lot of older country songs, make no mistake, there's no crying on or anywhere near the stage (unless Syd is playing through his Randall amp HAHA!). The Country Music Band always makes sure everyone has a good time... mainly because the Country Music Band has a good time! And if you don't like Waylon, Haggard, Bocephus, or Robertson's songs... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!



COUNTRY MUSIC BAND NEWS:  TUESDAY APRIL, 29, 2008: First off, head on over to www.itunes.com and search for Chris Robertson. Don't like itunes? Then go to www.napster.com . Now for the news... Carter James Hedrick was born last Wednesday to Syd and his lovely wife. Carter is their second child and weighed 8 pounds and was 20 3/4 inches long. All are doing well. The Lyerla's are expecting their third child so Chris, Ronnie, and I are wondering if it's contagious. I want to say a big thank you to Matt for making the trip from Rineyville, Ky to play our last two shows. First off, our show at Rivers and Spires  was cancelled when water poured in to the sound board (not ours) as we were on stage about to begin. No big deal; as Matt, Ronnie, Chris, and I went on down to the Front Page Deli and entertained the masses. The next weekend (Saturday April 26) the CMB showed up at the front door of the BB&T Bank in Russellville, Ky and played at the Jesse James Art and Music Festival. Yep, that's what we did. As of right now, there are no shows booked but that will change very soon I am sure. If you check here everyday, then you'll be one of the first to know!!! Finally, I had my first song download purchased in the United Kingdom! To me that's pretty darn cool. Here's hoping "VW Van" brings about an American Invasion!
